The Breast Friends attend many wonderful events
raising funds and raising awareness.

please contact us by email and we will certainly make an effort.

"I am just dropping you a line to say how much I enjoy your "cookbooks" I also had the the chance to be a part of a "ladies night out" in Gravelbourg this weekend  +  one of your members gave a "HEART FELT" presentation....it was so DYNAMIC that I am telling everyone one I know.. That if you need a motivational speaker you gals are definitely the ones to get......you had us all in tears for so many good reasons; from laughter to sharing special heart felt moments..keep up the good work...."
Sincerely Monique Mann,  Gravelbourg

On May 12 Linda, Patti and Val headed to Prince Albert where we had been invited to speak at the Provincial Palliative Care Conference - "Hidden Gifts".
We felt a little inhibited listed as speakers along with the likes of Michael and Dorris Laesser Stillwater and Dr. David Popkin, but it was a great event and Breast Friends
were warmly welcomed.
We really enjoyed Dr. Popkin's talk about Physicians Perspective on Hope.
A big thanks to Onalee and the committee for inviting us.

Ladies Night in Wynyard - April 26, 2008

Breast Friends were invited to be "special guests" at the Ladies Night in Wynyard  on April 26.
We felt very special indeed, when we were introduced to the ladies in attendance and asked to sit at a signing table and sign all of the books the ladies bought.
The appetizers served were all made from recipes from the books and were DELICIOUS!!!
Cec spoke on our behalf. She told our story and shared some of the experiences we have had as a group.
What a great night!
Thank you Wynyard ladies.

Prairie Pride Ladies Breast Friends Night Out - April 5, 2008

Picture to follow

On Saturday April 5, Linda, Nat and Patti travelled to Gravelbourg to the Prairie Pride Ladies Breast Friends Night Out.
They had been asked to be guest speaker of the event and so told the Breast Friends story and shared some things that "Old Broads Know".
The hosts served a delicious meal with recipes coming from the Breast Friends cookbooks.
Many books were sold and the profits left with the Gravelbourg ladies to donate to a breast cancer cause in their area.

Look Good Feel Better Foundation Fashion Show and Fundraiser - March 30, 2008

The Breast Friends sponsored and attended the "All About Women" Fashion Show in support of the Look Good Feel Better Program in Regina on March 30.
It was a great event thanks to the wonderful leadership of Darlene Olsen and the great Look Good Feel Better volunteers.
Darlene asked us to share our story as part of the program and the women responded by buying hundreds of books.
What a successful day for a great program.

Hope Run/Walk, Saskatoon

All ten of the breastfriends headed into Saskatoon to take part in the Hope Run/Walk. The day was cool but spirits were high - we donated $10000. to a great centre. Darlene (missing from the picture because she was busy visiting as usual) ran the 10K in great time and the rest of us walked and enjoyed the company and the scenery.

Bras With Bling, Regina

Most of the Breast Friends attended "Bras with Bling" at the Regina Inn. This was a great event sponsored by Breast Cancer Action Saskatchewan. We were proud to be D cup sponsors of the event and had a great time.

The group ran into Bob McGrath in the lobby of the hotel and he graciously posed for a picture with them.

Cancer Care Lodge, Saskatoon

Most of the group was able to go into Saskatoon to the Cancer Care Lodge to help set up the beds that we donated to the Centre.  It was a great day and we were very proud that we could donate 28 new box springs and mattresses.

Cancer Walk, Wynyard

This is some of the group at the Cancer Walk in early June in Wynyard - We were corporate sponsors of the event. Wynyard did so well and raised somewhere in the neighborhood of $69,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society - Way to go girls!!!

Meeting

This is a typical afternoon meeting with the group trying to get a picture taken - We work hard, but we also enjoy what we do very much and appreciate our time spent together.

Friends 'N Pink, Foam Lake

We had a great Friends 'N Pink evening in Foam Lake on Saturday, October 21. We donated all profits from the evening to buy radiation equipment at the Cancer Centre in Saskatoon - we channeled it through Chocolate in Pink coming up in Saskatoon in late November.

Book Signing, Regina

We spent an afternoon at the end of October at the Book and Brier Patch in Regina signing books, meeting great people and making a donation of $10,000 to the new Breast Assessment Centre at the Pasqua Hospital.
